Use this to your advantage when you do the wonderful volunteer work at your club. Young and old will admire you for being a world class champion. I'm the...Great meeting you in Clearwater, Rick. I'm the one who gave you the Canada hat the first day, if the name doesn't ring a bell. I discovered shuffleboard in 2008, when I started wintering in Florida. I absolutely love the game & am so glad some of you younger folk are bent on reviving it & keeping it alive. Enjoyed your description of the event. In my first ISA, I narrowly missed finishing last, so you did much better than I did on your first attempt. I'd really like to attend the team tournament in St. Cloud next year, but unless the JOLT Act passes and extends the time we're allowed to be here in a year, I don't think it will be possible. World Singles tournament. The goal if the I.S.A. is to assist in the growth of shuffleboard everywhere, whether that is a nation where shuffleboard has never before been appreciated or somewhere, like Orlando, where the joy of the sport has been lost. Places like Rick's Orlando Shuffle, and Christine Page's St. Pete Shuffle, serve to remind us all of the importance of the "shoot and giggle" venues. After all, none of us began participation in the sport at the tournament level. For all of us, there was a "shoot and giggle" where we learned to love shuffleboard and it was the interest that was nurtured there that eventually moved us into the more competitive aspects of the sport. The ability to be enjoyed at all levels and at all ages is one of the great strengths of the sport. Keep up the good work, Rick.

Glenn Monroe
Tournament Director
F.S.A., U.S.N.S.A., I.S.A.Gunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08780485346875223153noreply@blogger.com
